Laser Hair Removal

The average woman will spend over 2 months of her life shaving unwanted body hair. Men don’t have it any better.  The average man will spend up to 6 months shaving to maintain his smooth face.

Managing unwanted hair takes time and the hair keeps coming back! Plucking and waxing are common ways to manage unwanted body hair, but neither offer a permanent solution.

  •  Laser or IPL?

The key difference between the two treatments is that an IPL is a much cheaper less effective technology for reducing body hair, it uses a scattered non-targeted pulse of light with multiple wavelengths only 2 mm under the skin, to try and breakdown hair follicles. IPL cannot be used safely on dark skin types.

Lasers are far more precise, they emit a single focused and precise wavelength that can reach over 4 mm into the dermis, whereby optimising maximum follicle absorption and can selectively destroy the hair follicles while leaving all other surrounding skin untouched. Lasers can also successfully treat all skin types 1 to 6.

  • Laser Hair Removal

    • Gets to the root of the problem

    • Gives you effective, permanent hair reduction anywhere on your body including:

      • Face

      • Legs

      • Back

      • Bikini

      • Underarms

      • And more….

  • Since our hair grows in cycles multiple treatments are necessary for desired results.

Anagen Phase

  • Active phase of hair growth.

  • Lasts for several months.

  • Best phase for Laser Hair Removal.

Catagen Phase

  • During this brief phase, the hair bulb regresses and begins to shrink.

Telogen Phase

  • Resting phase of hair growth.

  • Lasts a few months then hair is released.

  • Anagen phase begins again.

The Hair Removal Procedure

  1. The treatment area should be clean shaven prior to the procedure.

  2. The provider will guide the laser handpiece over the area being treated.

  3. The handpiece will emit beams of laser energy which is absorbed by the hair follicles and converted to heat.

  4. This heat disables the hair follicle from future growth.
